  • Schlüter®-KERDI-LINE-VARIO

    Schlüter®-KERDI-LINE-VARIO

    Application and functions

Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO is a linear waste system that can be shortened to the desired length for creating floor-level showers with ceramic tiles, natural stone or other coverings.

The KERDI-LINE-VARIO horizontal drain consists of a drain body and an adapter. The waste body is characterized by an extremely flat sinusoidal outlet that can be swiveled through 360° with an integrated odor trap. Its sinusoidal shape favors a high flow rate of the water in the floor drain thus obtaining a self-cleaning effect.

The acoustic deadening element included in the kit prevents the noise from the drain body from being transmitted to the adjacent walls or floor. It also performs the function of positioning guide in case of installation directly against the wall. The adapter with integrated Schlüter-KERDIFLEX plug is supplied already inserted into the sinusoidal drain in such a way as to guarantee its tightness and is fixed to a circular clamp. By loosening the circular clamp it is possible to rotate the sinusoidal drain by 360° in order to be able to connect the drain to the building drain, whatever the situation that arises on site.

In the KERDI-LINE-H 50 the drain adapter can be adjusted in height according to the requirements of the building site.

The KERDI-LINE-VARIO outflow profiles are available in two different designs. They can be cut to the desired size up to a minimum length of 22 cm and adjusted in height. They are supplied with 2 special closing terminals.

Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO COVE is a drainage profile with a visible groove and can be cut to the desired length. It is equipped with a visible slot, only 8 mm wide and 140 mm long. It is optionally available in V4A stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum with a TRENDLINE finish and in lengths of 120 cm and 180 cm.

Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO WAVE is a flow profile with W-groove and can be cut to any desired length. This profile is also available optionally in V4A stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum with TRENDLINE finish and in the lengths 120 cm and 180 cm.

In the painted aluminum version the profiles are available in two widths: 34 mm and 42 mm. In the slimmest version, the central exhaust slot is just 14 mm wide and 140 mm long. In the 42 mm wide version, the discharge slot is 24 mm wide and 140 mm long and offers a suitable space for inserting an optional hair filter.

In the stainless steel version, the profile is 42 mm wide, the discharge slot is 25 mm wide and 140 mm long and also offers a space suitable for inserting an optional hair filter.

All KERDI-LINE-VARIO WAVE profile versions are equipped with a matching removable cover in the middle. Find the images on p. 7

The KERDI flexible plug, already integrated in the drain adapter, guarantees a perfect connection between the channel and the horizontal and vertical waterproofing system. The construction site protection in transparent plastic guarantees its integrity during the assembly phase.
Combined with the waterproofing systems Schlüter-KERDI, Schlüter-DITRA, Schlüter-DITRA-HEAT or Schlüter-KERDIBOARD with the relative adhesives Schlüter-KERDI-COLL or Schlüter-KERDI-FIX, the KERDI-LINE channels become part of a certified system with abP test (allgemeines bauaufsichtliches Prüfzeugnis), compliant with German standard DIN 18534. The moisture resistance classes according to abP can be found in the relevant data sheets. In accordance with ETAG 022 (sealing in combination with other materials), Schlüter-KERDI-LINE is a system component with European approval (ETA = European Technical Assessment). The aforementioned Schlüter products certified with KERDI-LINE carry the CE mark.

    Note:
KERDI-LINE-VARIO requires the creation of a screed on site. The screed made on site is waterproofed on the surface, preferably with DITRA (technical data sheet 6.1) or with -DITRA-HEAT (technical data sheet 6.4). The Schlüter-SHOWERPROFILE-S and -R profiles allow the lateral closure of the sloping shower surface towards the non-inclined floor and/or the wall (data sheet 14.1). To allow adequate closure of the lateral differences in height, the SHOWERPROFILE-S profiles are wedge-shaped. The adjacent walls are waterproofed with KERDI (technical data sheet 8.1) or with KERDI-BOARD (technical data sheet 12.1).

  • Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER-T

    Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER-T

    Application and function

Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER is a modular system for creating perfectly sealed, tiled floor-level showers. The already sloped panels are available in different sizes. Used in combination with the range of waterproofing products and floor drains (e.g. Schlüter®-KERDI-DRAIN-BASE and Schlüter®-KERDI-DRAIN) they allow the creation of long-lasting and elegant showers. The range also offers leveling panels for use under the sloped panel. For waterproofing the cladding, various kits are available which also contain Schlüter®-KERDI. Leveling panels are for housing the body and exhaust pipe; they are supplied with the minimum necessary height and can possibly be thickened with screed, for specific needs of the building site.

    Dimensions are:

    90x90cm
    100x100cm
    120x120cm
    150x150cm
    90x180cm

The shower trays have a slope of ≥ 2% (excluding the long side of the 90 x 180 cm model). The sloped and leveling panels can be cut to size with a simple cutter.

Thanks to the circular pre-incisions on the shower trays, it is also possible to easily create curvilinear showers. The leveling panel is used as a housing for the drain and for pipes.

In combination with the shower trays, a complete waterproofing kit has been created, Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER-SKB, which contains all the components to create a perfectly waterproofed floor-level shower. The Schlüter®-KERDI-DRAIN-BASE drain contained in the set has a drain capacity of 0.4 l/s. Solutions are also available that allow greater water outflow capacity. All products in the Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER range are particularly easy to install and safe once installed.
